Sun-Sentinel recommends Jennings, Vespo

From the start, detractors have tried to paint Jennings, 29, as a fringe candidate who only has the ear of a radical few in Lake Worth. But that unfair assessment rang hollow in the March 14 election, when the high school youth mentor ran off with 737 votes, the third highest of eight candidates on the ballot, in her first run for elected office.

Her strong showing is validation for years of hard work in helping to address Lake Worth's needs. As chairwoman of the city-appointed Stakeholder Advisory Committee, she's helped draft a master plan for the city's development, and she has championed the need for affordable housing well before it became a common cry.

Stakeholders are important
