Senate bill undercuts commission’s effectiveness

Senate Bill 1785, as presently written, has several very serious flaws in the opinion of Save the Illinois River Inc..

Many of these citizens have been ones who traditionally have demonstrated the most sincere dedication to protecting Oklahoma scenic rivers from degradation. They are stakeholders who will suffer the greatest loss if our scenic rivers and Tenkiller Lake are not protected from pollution and poorly advised development. It would be a great shame for our state to ban them from voting in future OSRC elections.
